My college life

Journey of  a software engineer student

Hi, my name is Amit  Kumar, and today I got admission to a private college in Ranchi. I don’t know why I’m writing this journey, but after reading this, you’ll get to know the journey of an engineering student from a small-town middle-class family.

Before classes officially start, there’s an orientation program where they explain what you should and shouldn’t do during your four-year engineering journey. Everyone talks about the advantages, but no one mentions the disadvantages.

Once the orientation ends, classes begin the next day. I was very excited about going to college. On the first day, I met new people and made friends. That’s when college life officially started. Days passed by, new friendships were formed, and classes and studies continued.

The college also organized various events on the campus, which everyone enjoyed. Time flew by, and then came the day every student dreads—the exam day. No matter how much we wish it wouldn’t come, exams are an inevitable part of life, whether they are academic or life exams.

The exams were held in two phases—two exams were online, and five were offline. Once the exams ended, we had a 10-day semester break. Everyone went back to their homes. The day the results were to be announced came closer, and I was anxious. Unfortunately, my results weren’t as good as I had expected.

Now, I entered the second semester. Unlike the first semester, this time there weren’t as many events or functions. One thing I learned during this time is that you should never take shortcuts in life.

An incident occurred during this semester that taught me a lot. While on my way to college, I faced a situation where I lost something valuable. That day, I felt very bad. College life teaches you a lot of lessons, and I believe everyone should experience it because it’s an important phase of life. It’s the time when you realize what you want to do in life. This phase should be handled carefully and wisely.

Midterms came and went. After the midterms, it was time for the college’s biggest festival, known as **Amiphoria**. This year, singer Aastha Gill was invited to perform. It was the last big event of the semester, and everyone enjoyed it thoroughly.

Soon after, the semester exams approached again. It’s surprising how quickly an entire semester passes by without you even realizing it. Unfortunately, this time too, my results didn’t turn out well.

Wait for more……,
